FAQ – 40 Pound Store

Inspired by the strength of John Henry’s hammers, every 40 Pound piece is made just for you. Below are answers to the most common questions about our products, shipping, and returns.

🕒 How long will my order take to arrive?

Each 40 Pound item is made to order, which means your gear is produced after you place your order — no wasted inventory, just fresh designs made for you.

  • Fulfillment (production): Usually takes 3–6 business days.

  • Shipping (after production):

    • U.S. orders: 3–4 business days

    • Express U.S. shipping (where available): 1–3 business days

➡️ Estimated delivery time = Fulfillment + Shipping
Example: 3 days production + 4 days shipping ≈ 1 week total.

Please note that these are estimates — delays can happen due to carrier issues, customs, or high-volume seasons.

📦 Will everything ship together?

Not always. Some products ship from different facilities (for example, a hoodie and a poster), so you may receive multiple packages. Each package will have its own tracking number.

🚚 What shipping options do you offer?

  • Standard shipping for most U.S. 

  • Express shipping available at checkout on select items.
    Shipping cost is automatically calculated based on location and product weight.

💥 My item arrived damaged or wrong — what do I do?

We’ve got you covered. If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, let us know within 30 days of receiving it.

Send us:

  1. Your order number

  2. Clear photos of the issue

  3. A brief description of what went wrong

We’ll review the claim and arrange a free replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

🔁 Can I return or exchange my order?

Because each item is custom-made, we can’t accept returns or exchanges if you ordered the wrong size or just changed your mind.

However:

  • If we made a mistake (wrong size, print, or item), we’ll replace or refund it.

  • If you ordered the wrong size, you can reorder the correct one, and we may offer a discount code to help out — just message us.

💡 Tip: Check the size guide on each product page before ordering to ensure the best fit.

🏠 What if I entered the wrong address?

If your package hasn’t shipped yet, contact us immediately so we can update your address.
If it’s already on its way, the order may be returned and reshipped — extra shipping charges may apply.

Shipping costs are shown at checkout. Occasionally, we offer free shipping promotions — keep an eye on our social media or email list for those drops.

⏳ Why is my order taking longer than expected?

Sometimes production or carriers experience delays, especially during peak seasons or global shipping issues.
If your order is taking longer than the estimated time, reach out and we’ll check tracking updates for you.
